Ian is the firm's senior partner. He has been with Guthries for over 30 years and during that time has worked in most areas of the law. His main areas of work at present are in the fields of residential and commercial conveyancing, all aspects of commercial business including commercial leases, the formation of limited companies and partnerships, and the purchase and sale of businesses.
Alison joined the firm as a trainee in 1992 and became a partner in 1998. She now deals mainly with executries, wills, inheritance tax planning and residential conveyancing, but also acts for several local housing associations and is involved in some litigation including debt recovery matters and family matters..
Scott joined the firm as a trainee in 1997 and became a partner in 2002. He has a varied workload including residential and commercial conveyancing, wills and executries, reparation and all aspects of criminal law.
Sarah joined the firm in 2003 and was made an associate in 2006. Sarah is continuing to work in many aspects of law including conveyancing, family, wills and executries.
Irene joined the firm in 1987, having previously been employed by a major building society. She is now the firm's property manager and is based in the firm's GSPC estate agency office in John Finnie Street. Irene can arrange marketing of properties through the very successful GSPC, and also deals with the preparation of leases and the factoring of leased properties.
